Stacy DeRuiter's test of peel-off plastic protective coating material
A HelloWorld0 chip coated in the material The chip is about to take a swim... It's swimming (for 5-10mins)... The plastic coating is peeled off And the chip still works!

My rating of this material: I love it! It's easy to melt with the heat gun, and not too hard to apply. It melts at a low enough temperature that a quick dip in melted material does not seem to fry electronic components. It is a bit stinky, but nowhere near as toxic smelling as the other materials I tested (acrylic glue and polyurethane spray). It makes a nice thick tough protective coat, but is then easy to peel off. It is also, clearly, waterproof.
