Water Jet Cutter

I tried a number of things this week with the waterjet cutter. One of the things that I wanted to do was to start working on my final project. I also tried a number of things with the bender. One thing that I wanted to do was to make a core for my final project. Unfortunately, after a meeting with Neil, I found out that having an aluminum core of aluminum would certainly interfere with the performance of the wireless mechanism. Hence, I just practiced with the waterjet cutter and didn't finish bending the metal. More on that later.

I also looked at making antenna dishes! I used to use a pringles can to increase my wireless connectivity in my apartment. I thought that maybe I could make an antenna. However, that didn't work out too well because the metal couldn't bend properly. I'll put up pictures of the results as soon as I find my camera again!

My first attempt at making antenna dishes didn't go too well. The material that I was using was a little too thick for what I needed to bend it into the nice parabola shape that I had desired. I suppose I'll stick with the pringles can for now

A failed attempt for an antenna dishes:

The holes are supposed to be strategic ...

On the other hand, this failed attempt made me think that maybe I can make a chair using the curved based. I started on that as this week's hello world project. See what I cut out below:
