The fact that the latex that I'm using is water based creates a bit of a problem - whatever mold I create needs to be fully ventilated, in order to dry. So, to create a membrane, I cannot simply squish the solution between two spaced plates and expect it to dry in a reasonable amount of time (i.e. this would take weeks)...
