[press fit structure] laser cutter, vinyl cutter, plasma cutter/router
The goal of the second project was to make a press-fit structure without adhesives or permanent fasteners, designing within the confines of additive processes that are reversible. The intent was to create an object that gave an impression of mass, but remained structurally light; an impression of softness, but was structurally rigid; and an impression of permanence, but was entirely re/de-constructable.
