Motorized/Cardboard/Press-fit/Responsive Iris Diaphragm
I would like to push the design of the iris diaphragm further and combine all of the things I've learned. Below, are some renderings of the mechanical iris. Currently, I'm thinking I'll use 5 motors with H-bridge connections to open and close the device. Most of the parts will be cardboard, and I am going to make multiple irises that can be press-fit to create an array of irises which respond to light and temperature and controlled through a web interface or manually with another type of interface that I'll design when we do molding and casting.
