3D scanning and printing
how to make (almost) anything
wanted to make a desk lamp in the shape of crumpled paper...
came back the next morning to a not working scanner. tried using the NextEngine.
it looks pretty simple, and user friendly, was getting into it when John had fixed the problem.
after a few horizontal and vertical attempts with the paper, but still the depth was an issue that required more time than the one handed. i had to choose printing something else, a gigantic thimble/light shade (it makes awesome shadows and lights up very nicely with a small filament bulb).
it was taking a loong time, having to focus every rotation to get the different depth of fields.
