That vacant look in my eyes is hours of late night assembly programming. But don't let this look fool you, I'm actually thrilled at this point for have a working board.

My end goal, with more time, would be to create earrings that visualize ambient sound. Now that my board is basically working, I can focus on redesigning to minimize overall size.

The following images are the circuit board designs for the bottom and top boards. The bottom board contains the microcontroller, microphone and power leads, while the top board contains an LED array. They are joined by a pair of 6-pin headers:
