I created a USB mouse that uses a 2 axis accelerometer to detect the tilt of the mouse and generate motion. Additionally, I added a single left mouse button. The mouse identifies itself as a standard USB mouse so it works on any operating system with no manual driver installation.
The mouse is built with a prototyping board carrying an AVR that does native USB and a breakout board for a 2 axis accelerometer.
