Week One: Final Project Idea

My idea for a final project was, originally, to make a wire EDM machine. I ended up doing a bit of research into how feasible this would be, and found out that this thing requires many kilowatts of power, a fluid-tight tank, and wire that cannot be reused.

So, while I still may try to design a DIY wire EDM, my first step would be to make a hot wire cutter. It would have a fairly similar machine layout, sans the wire feeder, and I know it's reasonably doable.
