Task

make a 3D mold, and produce a fiber composite part in it

Personal Flight

Model Making

Pulled a plane off of 3D warehouse. Deleted all but one wing. Mirrored and merged the mesh. Applied Catmull–Clark subdivision surface to make it way better.  

Machining

No tabs means no final cuts on the bottom. 

Tape coating, just in case of evil epoxy.



Fabric cover, ready for epoxy.



Starting the vaccuum. 





Composite complete. 





Ready for flight.
