Week 6 - Molding and casting
Download SolidWorks STL positive file (pressure plate)

I molded and casted a pressure-plate for this week's assignment.

I initially milled the wax in wrong orientation, which resulted in this shape.

Lessons Learned
![](week6/p0.jpg)
First of all, the axes were not showing correctly when I exported the STL file in modela.
![](week6/p1.jpg)
So I changed the orientation.
![](week6/p2.jpg)
But the orientation I chose was incorrect.
![](week6/p3.jpg)
I corrected it in my final attempt.
![](week6/p3-1.jpg)
Also, if I looked at "Preview cutting" carefully, I would not have made that mistake.
![](week6/p4.jpg)
Secondly, I had some problem in aligning the origins.

FInally, I figured out that the co-ordinates of "Move" should match the co-ordinate of the model using the snap button.
