TUTORIAL: how to start using the 3D digitizer in 2minutes (CBA shop)

First, Open Rhino.

 

Go to: Tools/3D Digitizer/Connect and choose MicroScribe Digitizer (the machine should be on).

Follow the instructions in the command line. The digitizer pointer and the right pedal are now your mouse.

 

Enter the origin. Point at a spot and hit the pedal.

Same for X axis and Y axis (picture below: defining the x axis)

Enter the values for the points you just defined for origin, x axis and y axis.

Time to have fun. Use Rhino commands like Polyline, but using the digitizer and the pedal as your mouse click.
