WEEK 1

ZIP FIT

The project for Week 1 applies the logic of press fit cardboard construction to zippers. Each module operates as an individual tooth, able to be concatenated together in various orientations, and then zipped together.

The module is composed of the tooth, and the friction shim.

Modules connect together in like orientations to generate arc segments

Connected together in a radio fashion creates two halves which zip at the equator.

Radial Zip

Opposing module orientations generates straight segments.

Opposing module orientations generates straight segments.

This project was developed and detailed inRhino modeling environment.
