Week 14 - Machine Design

This week we had to design a machine in a group. I was part of the central group

and we decided to build a self-playing chess board.

I was part of the sub-team that handled the way the components assembled with

each other. Our task was to find a way of putting the components together in the

best possible way and also minimizing the construction's bending due cardboard's

high bending tolerance. We designed the arrangement of the components and created

supports in various places of the machine in order to secure a rigid structure.
