HOW TO MAKE (ALMOST) ANYTHING_MAS.863/4.140
For this week assignment, I wanted to play with Flexinol/Nitinol (Muscle Wire). I was hoping to attach the Nitinol to a very thin surface and create some movement. This week ended up being full unresolved technical issues... At first - I started playing with the Nitinol wire we had at the shop. I tried to heat it with the power supply choosing the correct voltage according to the data shit (entering the wire's width and length). After quite a while of not being able to achieve any results, I consulted Carrie McKnelly, who helped me reach to the conclusion that the wire we had in the shop was probably Superelasticity and not a Shape Memory Alloy, which means that I can't really do anything with it.... I was finally managed to get some Shape Memory Alloy, so I stared experimenting with it... I tried to heat it with current and with the heat gun, but still haven’t managed to get any satisfying results. The movement of the wire was quite minor. I hope to keep on working on that and update soon…
Meanwhile, I stared working on the board that I'll use to enable and control the Nitinol movement. I used a similar logic found in Jie Qi's tutorial - a standard MOSFET circuit. I used the 16A mosfet, and placed 2 pads for both edges of the wire, and 2 pads for the power supply.

I get the following error massage while trying to burn bootloader. Still de-bugging... hope to update soon!
