OUTPUT DEVICES LED ARRAY

This week, our assignment was to create an output board.

I am interested in using lights in my final project so I decided to use Neil’s LED board as a template.

Using illustrator and eagle I designed a board based on Neil’s example.

Milled board and stuffing. I collected all the pieces I would need to make the stuffing go faster. I placed my intitals too close to the edge so they were cut off when I milled the edge of my board.

Final board with the array completely soldered.

Programming: I used Arduino, and I used my fab ISP from week 3. I attempted Neil’s code to turn on the LEDs for a test run. After multiple attempts my board is still not working. I am still trying to troubleshoot where I went wrong….to be continued.

My board is getting power, but my connection to the 9v battery seems to have a short somewhere.
