Chika Makes Things 2016

Goal: Produce a fiber composite part from a 3D mold. This week was pretty straightforward for me. Since I wasn't able to make it all the way through the first molding and casting week, I decided to make the mold from an item I already owned to make sure I could make it through the entire process. Here are process photos for my bowl: Mixing and spreading the epoxy: Too much epoxy leftover resulted in a melted cup! Prepping for vacuuming: Success!
