We modelled several bowls in Rhino and prepped them in Mastercam.

We milled the bowls with a very small stepover to minimize the amount of sanding and finishing we would have to do before laying up the composite inside.

We gessoed the molds and covered them in saran wrap to ensure an easy release..

We laid up a fiberglass composite and a burlap composite in two different bowl molds.

The burlap was easier to demold than the fiberglass. It had also had better resolution.
