Make an in-circuit programmer by milling the PCB, check if you can program it, then optionally try other PCB processes

This was a scary week. I never milled anything before. I followed the instructions on Brian's page. I used Neil's trace and put it through mods with the settings in the screenshot:

First mill the trace. Followed by the outline. The milling processes took 2 attempts.


Before you solder layout your components. This was the first time I solder and I made a lot of mistakes. It's best to practice on left over PCB boards before soldering on the fresh board you just made. Remember to leave the solder tip to sufficiently heat up copper before placing the solder down.
