This week, the assignment is to build this website and to expirament with some modeling tools to model potential final projects. I chose to use SolidWorks to make a model of my ideal final project, which consists of the control system for a 2 wheeled powered board that combines the versatility of a bike with the convineince of a longboard.

I am also pursuing this as my senior thesis project in Mechanial Engineering at Harvard. I hope for this class to allow me to reach higher goals within my thesis research and implementation.

I decided upon making the wireless control mechanism for the device proposed above. It will consist of a simple hand held (likely 3D-printed) controller, that will likely use a slide potentiometer and some form of transmitter to send a signal to a reciever on the board, which would then talk to the motor controller that controlls the amount of power going to the motor.
