Assignment 2

Electronics Production

This week, the assignment was to create a USB programmer for future cicuit boards as an into into how to make them. After initial characterization of the PCB mill, uploading a png into the class mod turned the picture into a toolpath. Several failures (mostly from not having a level board) were well worth the output. I added a smiley face on some spare real eastate for fun with microsoft paint before I uploaded it:
After the components for the design were collected, the board was promptly stuffed like a turkey:
I then made a six pin cable for the six pin device I had just made:
Then it was simply a matter of plugging it in and running a program to see that everything checked out and that it was ready to accept programming (which it was).
