This week I worked in the assembly group of our group project. In this group, we assembled the final mechanical parts of our machine to create a panorama/time-laspe rig. During the assembly group, we had 5 people drilling pilot holes, attaching the track and putting the entire rig togethe. I paritcularly worked to attach the track to the rig and plane and help with final readjustment. We spent more time then expected in connecting the track to the actual device. While the process was not particularly diffcult, we had to redo the process of connecting the track several times as there wasn't enough tension for the machine to move as smoothly. Similarly, we had to later readjust the connection from the plastic plane to the wood beem. Prior to this meeting, measurements has already been taken such that the wood beam, the plastic place and the rig can all fit togehter nicely. However, when the rig was entirely assembled we found that the wood has warped and the wheels would stick in the middle. To correct this error, we re-centered the rig onto the wooden plank. More details about our overall project process can be found here.
