Week 1
Computer-Controlled Machining
This week I started out designing an outdoor dog house for my friend Jinx, my best friend Crystal's cutie dog. Design turned out well but it was a little bit out of scale, I then realized it is not possible to do with one sheet OCB, and also I checked the material and we decided it is not super dog-friendly due to its chunkiness :) But here is the design anyways!

I moved into a new home at the start of the semester, so I don't have a lovely tiny table next to my bed for my books and plants. I made the decision to use this week to create a straightforward yet attractive table. My design concept was a four-piece, glue-free table that was easy to put together.

Additionally, my friend Crystal needed a wood holder next to her fireplace. I wanted to fill out all the layout and decided making one more object.

After designing the two objects on Rhino, I used the template on the training page and did the layout for CNC-cutting.

Then, I went to woodshop and met with David and Charlie, after making the test cut we decided using 0.43 in finger connection size after checking the material thickness.

We used Onsrud machine, David helped me with CAM file editing.

After cutting, I sanded the pieces and assembled them. All pieces were fitting luckily!
