CHASSIS

The design of the chassis changed over time, to include an X-Y stage:

The X-Y stage is assembled using parts from the McMaster-Carr orders (see Parts List), and from machined aluminum using the waterjet cutter. Download the VRML file for the stage and the STL files for cutting all of the individual parts out of aluminum.

And here is a video of it working as a 2D plotter.

The other part of the process was to develop a moving Z-stage:

Download the AutoCad file for the Z-stage, and the DXF files to cut the stage parts out of 1/4" acrylic on a lasercutter (see Parts List).
