    • I consider this a rough, first pass at some ideas for a final project.

      I like things that glow. I also like origami flowers and boxy shapes. I'm trying to combine these two elements into some kind of aesthetic object. Why does it glow? How should each petal / crystal shape be attached to another and how brightly do they glow? Are they a color? Is the color or spatial arrangement determined by external data -- such as RSS feeds, email messages, maybe the weather? Or an interactive, sensable quantity like light or proximity? These are all things I am thinking about.

      I used a water texture here because it was the closest I could get to showing glowing.
