This week we were supposed to explore various CAD programs. Since I was already comfortable using Solidworks, I decided that's what I was going to use. Unfortunately Solidworks only runs on Windows. To get around this I installed VMWare Fusion (free for MIT students) and created a Windows 7 Virtual Machine. From there I was able to install Solidworks just as I would if I were using a Windows machine. An excellent guide to installing solidworks can be found here.
