The purpose of this guide is to simplfy and explain seemingly complex ideas so that any interested soul may find a comforting welcome into the world of making.

I drew these with the intent of giving new students an idea of what making is all about and what to expect if they do participate in MIT's How To Make course taught by Neil Gershenfeld. (The Harvard section are students going to the same lecture at the Media Lab, but return to Harvard's Science Center to build their projects.)
