Using the Shopbot
Relieved to have a week off from electronics!
I wanted to make a massive woodblock print this week, so I first started by designing an image
of Hokusai's Great Wave that could be cut on the shopbot:
Then, I loaded the file into the toolpath program and generated a toolpath.
Milling took a very long time due to the number of pocket cuts required, but it finished eventually:
Unfortunately, the rough texture of the OSB (oriented strand board) provided this week distracted a lot
from the printed image. I probably would sand the block prior to printing if I did this project again.
