Moulding Casting

Week 4

This week our group assignment is to review the safety data sheets for each of your molding and casting materials, then make and compare test casts with each of them(The group assignment is here). Individually we have to design a mold around the stock and tooling that you'll be using, mill it (rough cut + (at least) three-axis finish cut), and use it to cast parts

I was taken back to my childhood and wanted to make myself a spinning top. So, I got some CAD done, and over a few visits to the lab, got my CAM in order. I've come to realize the importance of acting early in this class. It can make all the difference.
