Week 2: Computer Controlled Cutting
For this week's assignment, I started with a somewhat challenging idea, which was to create a geodesic dome parametric construction kit. My idea was to create a set of identical triangles, that were constructed to (hopefully) press and click next to/into each other, to eventually construct a sphere. (will be better explained/visualized by pictures below)

Here's the first sketch of what I hoped to create; throughout this week, I had Covid-19 and was in isolation, so a lot of my ideas and work were more theoretical.

Above is a CAD visualization of the pieces I would create, with the intention of being to replicate the single shape shown and use that triangle base to construct other triangle-based shapes, with the geodesic dome I intended to construct being the shape in mind.

Again, as I mentioned before, I was quarantined this week so my initial iteration of this project was a prototype using a small piece of cardboard I had in my room, shown in the pictures above. I also didn't get the chance to do the vinyl printing, so my idea is included below.

For the vinyl-cutting part of this week's project, I wanted to make a sticker that I could put on my laptop, and decided to make one inspired by one of my favorite games: Hollow Knight.
