Wildcard Week

For my assignment this week, I decided to cut something using the Zund machine.

Design

I designed a crease pattern that I want to eventually incorporate into my final project. The design includes mountain creases (red), valley creases (blue), and cuts (green).

Because the Zund machine can only crease in one direction, we added circles to the design so the machine can scan the circles and realign the design once we flip it over.

Folding

After the machine cut my piece, I had to fold the creases.

It took quite sometime, and the final result is not as nice as I wanted it to be. Namely, the structure is very rigid and tight to fold. However, it was a very fun process!
