For this week I decided to use the embroidery machine in EDS since I have a similar one at my dorm. I downloaded the software suggested on the course website, PEmbroider, and set off on making a simple design to familiarize myself with it.

I decided to start from one of the basic examples in the documentation, that of the smiley face:

Due to doing this quite last minute, I had the inspiration to change it to a shape more representative of my current state:

The embroidery did not turn out as well as planned since the text appeared less visible than I wanted it to be since the stitch was obstructing it somewhat and the lines were also pretty thin. I also suspect that the text itself is quite vulnerable to unraveling.
