About
For week 1, we covered CAD. Rhino3D is my go-to CAD program. So here is some documentation for it.
Since I have been using Rhino3D it was simple to download online .skp files of parts that I needed. I found the grabcad community the most useful to find the microcontrollers I needed, servo models, etc.
I wanted to 3d model my final project in Rhino3D to better understand what parts fit and which don't.

I first started by building a basic massing model of the components involved which were mostly boxes and cylinders.

Then the details can be more fleshed out.
One of my favourite characteristics of Rhino is its ability to easily work between 2D linedrawings and 3D. One main instance is its customizability of the line weights, hatches, etc. I like using light gray colour lines, medium gray and black lines for detailing as well. This also allows for ease to make 2D drawings for lasercutting.
