Finding the good settings to have a nicely visible engraving:
I wanted to have a cute little logo for my final project. So I first tried to engrave Kobe shooting a shot:
But this was a way too complex and detailed image. I'd need ideally a... a pencil-sketch of it. Who could do that for me?
Midjourney, of course. Within a few prompts, I had a nice pencil-sketch to use:
I initially tried to engrave on copper, but couldn't quite make it pretty and visible enough. So after a few iterations on DPI, laser strength, and laser lingering time, an aluminium-engraving worked out quite nicely:
So far, this is lacking the design component of the assignment. If time allows, I'll iterate the process. Until then, hello world!
