Bending electrons: Electronics design.
Quentin walked us through on how to use the test equipment. We had a great discussion about speed of electrons in wire (drift vs signal, etc) and what project measuring the speed of electrons could look like. We played with the microcontrollers for a while.
I was a little lost on what to do as a first-time circuit design. So why not create a little hello-world project end-to-end.
The mission: Can I make something blink?
First, I breadboarded a blinking LED to make sure I understand all the components. After a bit of figuring things out, it blinked:
So after learning about microcontrollers, how to use Eagle & Fusion, and setting everything up, I stuck to the simplest possible hello-world design:
Hello world!
