My final project will be about wirebots, kinetic robots that will be able to move around and create art with.

I am inspired by work done by Madeline Gannon, for example with her work with Koriobots,

My initial design was to work off with some of the hardware that was presented on her github

But with her hardware, all of the system costs $972 dollars with each motor. ( which is crazy expensive)

I am thinking about making a system that is cheaper, but still has the same functionality.

Things we need to model

  • Case for the motor itself
  • Case for the wire holder
  • Case for the board that we might use
  • Some way to attach the board to the truss and the motor as well

Need to model the wire holder for the motor

Memos for fabrication

The tolerance of the laser seems to be 49.9 against trying to cut a 50mm square of cardboard. So it has a difference of 1 mm for the laser.
