Project: Machine Embroidery

I worked with Alex to learn machine embroidery! While I had to focus on my final project this week, I still wanted to try this skill since I've always been interested in it (my mother is big into sewing). It was a great introduction, though I wish I had more time to explore it further.

Process

We used the embroidery machine in the lab to create a simple design on fabric. The steps were:

• Select a pre-loaded design from the machine
• Properly align and secure the fabric in the holding frame
• Set up the machine with the right thread
• Monitor the embroidery process

We had some issues with the fabric getting caught - learning experience!

Results

While we had some challenges (like the fabric getting caught), it was a great introduction to machine embroidery. I definitely want to come back to this skill when I have more time to really explore it properly!
