I worked with Sara, Alex and Anthony on the group assignment!
We were excited.
We used a Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32 C3 microcontroller for our assignment. We had to solder male-male connectors to attach it to a breadboard. I hadn't soldered since highschool so I got to show Sara and Anthony the basics of what I recalled. It was nice finally knowing something to share with others, and our connections all worked!
XIAO microcontroller and male to male connectors
For my individual project, I designed the schematic and PCB for my final project fish feeder using KiCad. This turned into quite a learning experience... the process took over six hours because I initially had the wrong microcontroller file (thankfully Leo introduced me to the fab library which had the correct components), and I was really struggling with the wire layout until Anthony helped me create a much better arrangement. His guidance was invaluable - I definitely should have asked for his help way sooner!
