WEEK 5

Electronic Design

Assignment: use an EDA tool to design a development board to interact and communicate with an embedded microcontroller.

This is a completely new experience for me, which is exciting. I began by watching the lectures and recitation, which helped me set up the software and gain a general understanding of things. However, I realized that I’m not yet sure how to effectively teach myself when it comes to electronics.

KICAD felt the most intuitive software for me and I followed the recitation tutorial on KICAD.

I started with a simple design, creating a basic board that included just an LED and a switch. Then, I slowly started to add more components in order to give it more ins and outs pins to be able to connect a LED's snd OLED screen.

My first output SVG I made from KICAD.
