Welcome to Week 1
Computer-Aided Design
For week one we were assigned the task of designing some possible final project ideas on a variety of applications. My project is a blinds opener so I though I'd sketch up what the device will look like. My idea is to have an inverted gear that meshes with the beaded chain on my blinds already and a housing unit for the PCB and motor. I chose to first draw up some 2D sketches on Notability.

Next I attempted to CAD up a potential housing unit for the motor and PCB. I used Fusion 360 as the application to do this. I am used to using Solidworks so it was an intersteing process trying to use a new interface. I had a bit of trouble at first but the more I played around and explored I was able to catch on pretty fast.
