Hello! I'm Vivek Sandrapaty, a Florida native, and an undergraduate student at MIT studying EECS, Physics and Nanotechnology.

A formative experience in my youth, when I witnessed a drowning death, inspired me to create a wristband that can detect drowning and sound an alarm. This experience opened up the world of engineering for me and in my pursuit to develop impactful solutions, my projects since have had a pattern of detecting and potentially deterring accidents before it is too late.

At MIT, I aim to learn fabrication to fulfill my dreams of creating my own super-suit or at least develop safety devices for the potential high stakes of an exciting future.

Outside of class, I'm interested in the metaphysics branch of philosophy, and am passionate about Martial Arts - I'm currently a 3rd Degree Black Belt with over a decade of training.
