How To Make
(Almost)
Anything

Claire Gorman Hanly

I am a dual masters student between the MCP (environmental policy and planning) and MS EECS courses at MIT. Here is my personal website. I am also a Morningside Academy for Design Fellow.

My interests surround environmental sensing, cultural landscape studies, and the integration of the two in charismatic, evocative technical objects. In particular, I am working to frame my technical studies in a new practice of curation; I spent the 2024-2025 year assistant curating the 19th International Architecture Exhibition at La Biennale di Venezia.

This is my course website for How To Make (Almost) Anything.

My Final Project is a walking stick that collects soil data at tracked locations.

"I like to think (and the sooner the better!) of a cybernetic meadow..."
