The first component we tackled in our system was clay which broke several PLA 3d prints and stalled our motors. While we wait for some new parts to
arrive we tackled the next component in our soil components list: air. While at first we thought to incorporate air bubbles directly into the clay mix,
we have learned that creating air pockets through the soap foam has the potential to be more successful. The process is not so dissimilar to using
chemical agents to create aircrete. In fact, some shampoos contain chemicals that will rival commercial foaming agents results. The diagram above
shows a schematic for our foaming air system which we hope to build and test in the coming week.
