Preliminary System Design

Week 3

• As described in a previous week, this is a Chinese-seal-carving machine.
• Since this is my first time making a CNC machine, I went with a very basic design. I'll make it more complex once this mundane prototype works.
• I referenced a few machines I found on the Internet.
• I plan to give onshape and FreeCAD a try this semester, but for these quick sketches I'm using Keynote...
• The clamp allows fixing differently sized seals.
• Wiring and PCB are to be added later.
• Extra features such as cameras, displays etc. are to be elaborated later.
• I'll need to consult experts on whether this is a viable design...
