Individual contribution: Mechanical team

Description: Worked with mechanical team to assemble device during each spiral

Procedure:
    Spiral 1
  1. Spiral 1: Using the modular CAD file within the team repo, reference the materials required for assembling each component (note: be mindful of order of operations for which pieces may create difficulty in accessing sequential screw holes; Additionally, be mindful of putting the belt components on last to complete final step of securing the belt in place)
  2. Spiral 2: Additional attachments and design alterations must be propagated throughout all rail systems (my primary focus was updating PCB mount to camera system and PCB mount to motor)
Key learnings:
  1. Spiral design is effective, but be mindful of propagating updates across systems — our team was effective at implementing a spiral-design approach to iterate quickly throughout the week; However, given there are multiple systems involved, it required consideration of when to propagate spiral updates to each system given if additional updates are made it can be a time intensive process of de-assembling and re-assembling
