Blender, 3D Scanning & Printing

We have a shower problem in the place where I live. Our shower handle broke a long time ago, and It’s time to fix it!

My first idea was to scan my neighbors and make a wrench in the form of all of us merged together. I used Scaniverse and got incredible results with just a camera from my phone.

And off the models went to printing.

While they were printing, I was experimenting with a different approach. I played with midjourney to get the following designs for the wrench that I could make.

I chose the ones I liked most. I had the design for the handle and the back of the wrench:

It was time to convert my 2d design into a 3d model. I followed this tutorial.

Created a depth map, using ZoeDepth model, and converted my wrench into 3d.

Still learning Blender, I ran out of time before I could finish the wrench design. Here are my intermediate results for now:

Meanwhile, here are the print results for the models, scanned with Scanniverse. Very impressive!
