How to Make (Almost) Anything

Week 1
Task: Conceptualize, design and 3D model a final project.
For the final project, I am planning to make a ferrofluidic based automated magnetic display box. I am planning to use electromagnets to control the power of the magnetic field with a microcontroller (Xiao or Arduino) and custom made PCB for power management and external components such as LCD secreen, LEDs, and buttons.
Motivation behind of the project is to create a interactive tool that user can actually take part of to control it and visualize the magnetic field.
For this week's assignment, I try to conceptualize the idea with below pictures and list of materials I am planning to use.
Material list:
- Ferrofluid (dense magnetic particle fluid)
- Electromagnets (to control the magnetic field)
- Servo motor (to move the electromagnets)
- XiaoRP2040 (as a microcontroller)
- Power supply (to connect the device to wall power)
- Force resistive sensors (to build user interactivity)
- Buttons (to make it interactive)
For the concept design, below is the hand sketch with possible materials highlighted:

I created below conceptual CAD model for the final project idea for this week's assignment and checked the parts in web.
