Description

This project explores a process of fabricating the FabISP, Fab-able In-System Programmer.

The process consists of the following steps:

• 1. Schematic Design of Circuit Board with Eagle CAD.
• 2. CNC Milling of Printed Circuit Board (PCB).
• 3. Soldering of Electrical Components.

The design of the circuit board is based on Valentin Heun's USBonPCB.

Valentine's circuit file has some minor issues in its layout where some components are placed too close to each other. This makes it difficult for the 1/64" end mill to mill between and results in short curcuit. A total of three short curcuits are identified in the original file. I have modified the original PNG file to assure that all components are placed with enough distance apart. You can find the revised PNG file in the link below.
