Using Ultimaker to print 3d, and Sense to 3d scan objects.
This week, I printed joints to connect steel square stock and designed a base for my beehive.

This week I wanted to make a base for my beehive. I had some spare square stock and lots of extruded aluminum.
I decided to make simple shapes that would allow me to connect square stock in right angles, so I made some spheres and cones with openings.
The spheres were printed using the Dimension 3d printer, which printed in ABSplus in Ivory and a very impressive construction as it used a soluble support material. The cones which fitted the bottom of the stock was printed using the Ultimaker 2 in PLA.
The square stock fits very nicely in the extruded aluminum's chanel.
