Our perception of time is complex and is computed in different parts of our brain.
Our emotions are connected to our time perception. Positive emotions speed up time, and negative emotions slow down time.
When we're focused/engaged, time goes faster and when we're bored/relaxed, time goes slowly.
The goal was that EMIT would look like a normal clock. This is the design I made to house the strobe LEDs, motor, Neopixels, and the real clock.
The side view shows the extra strobe hand behind the clock hands. The LED lights go around the inner side of the rim.
Strobing is done using a LED strip which goes around the sides of the clock.
I made the sides slanted so that the light is more directed on the clock hand.
I made the modified design using wood.
I used Empatica (Galvanic Skin Response and Heart Rate), MUSE Headband (EEG) and Affectiva Facial Expression algorithms,
